About the SATTB

The South African Table Tennis Board (SATTB) is the national governing body responsible for the administration, development, and promotion of table tennis across South Africa. It serves as the central authority that coordinates the sport from grassroots participation to elite international representation.

SATTB is responsible for:

• Selecting and managing national teams (men, women, youth, and para)

• Preparing athletes for continental and international competitions

It works with provincial associations to ensure uniform rules, competition standards, and development programmes countrywide.

🌍 Position in the Global Structure

SATTB represents South Africa in the international table tennis community, linking local players and competitions to continental and global structures, and enabling South African athletes to compete abroad. In short, SATTB is the backbone of organised table tennis in South Africa — balancing governance, development, competition, and national representation while building the sport from schools to international arenas.
